Horse riding holidays

Horse- riding holidays are a very good way to let your children get acquainted with nature and animals, together with wonderful hill and mountain landscapes. Another very famous and popular holidays destination for horse-riding holidays for children is South Tyrol, especially the touristic regions of Alpe di Siusi (German: Seiser Alm, Ladin Mont Seuc), Alta Badia (German: Hochabtei) or Meran and its surroundings (Italian: Merano e dintorni, ladin Maran). The famous “Haflinger” horses are very docile and quiet and they are suitable for beginners; they are from the mountain resort of Avelengo (German: Hafling), which is very close to Merano. Mum and dad can take horse-riding lessons; they were thought for every level of experience. Other “classic” destinations for horse-riding holidays are Tuscany and Umbria, especially around cities rich in art and culture like Siena, Arezzo, Gubbio, Perugia and Assisi.
