Holidays in the mountains

Holidays in the mountains which will charm the gourmets can take place in Campo Tures (German: Sand in Taufers) in Valle Aurina, where the “Cheese Festival” takes place. Here you can taste many kinds of Italian and South Tyrolean kinds of cheese, together with many more coming from the rest of the world. This festival also gives you the possibility of seeing every production stage of the cheese, from the shepherds’ hut till the table. During these holidays in the mountains under the sign of gastronomy the program also presents many children programs, photographic contests and concerts. Of course you can choose among many menus, where you can find many tips about tasting the most famous South Tyrol cheese, the “Graukäse” (German: grey cheese): on rye bread with butter or with olive oil, vinegar and onions.
